| The Corridors
The best way to get where you need is to walk the corridors. There are seven floors of long hallways, hidden passages, and window seats to meet people and avoid teachers - but don't be caught out after hours!

Go above the main parts of the castle. The Astronomy tower, North and West towers, the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw common rooms, and the Owlery are up here.

| The Grounds
The land surrounding the school features greenhouses for Herbology lessons (and snogging), housing for educational animals, and plenty of room for students to lounge when the weather is nice.

The school pitch includes locker rooms, a standard Quidditch field, and plenty of seating for all students and additional spectators to observe a match.

| The Lake
Actually venturing into the lake is not recommended for people who do not get along with squid, but students can still dip their toes or skip rocks or swim in some of the more shallow areas.

Hogsmeade hosts a variety of stores for everything a young wizard could need, and many things he does not need (and is not in fact allowed to have) but wants anyway.

| The Three Broomsticks
Owned and operated by one Madame Rosmerta, the Three Broomsticks serves a variety of clients and offers plenty of legal butterbeer to students.

| The Hog's Head
The Hog's Head, owned by Aberforth Dumbledore, is on the grungy side. It doesn't attract as many students - or as many clients, period - as the Three Broomsticks, possibly due to the strong odor of goat permeating the premises.

The Shrieking Shack has lately acquired a reputation for being violently haunted. No one will go near it, these days - but then, no one every went near it anyway, as it was just a boring old shack.

| The Ministry of Magic
Situated underground in the heart of London, the Ministry of Magic is reachable by phone booth/elevator and a magical door similar to the one to Diagon Alley, serviceable via a magically-graffitied arch painted on the wall of a nearby fish and chips shop.

St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries was founded in the late 1500s and is located in London, behind the facade of a closed department store called Purge and Dowse, Ltd. It is equipped to treat an enormous range of maladies and injuries, and contains several specialized wards.

| Diagon Alley
Flourish & Blotts, The Apothecary, Eeylops Owl Emporium, Daily Prophet Office, Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor, Gambol & Japes, Gringotts, Madam Malkin's, Ollivander's and a variety of other shops can all be found here. It is where the shopping of any respectable wizard should take place.

Borgin and Burkes is located here, along with a dingy array of shops at which less-than-respectable wizards may do their shopping. It's the kind of place children aren't allowed and most wizards wouldn't be caught dead (though they could probably be sold that way).
